On Friday evening, July 31, 2026, a single car rollover occurred just outside of Bristow on Hwy 66 West. For unknown reasons, a silver Dodge Durango lost control rolled, before coming to stop, on a very steep embankment. First responders extracted the female driver, Shania Shelton, and she was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. In one of the past issue, the Bristow News did a story about Charlie, the Depew town dog. Ms. Shelton was Charlie’s dog momma/owner. So now Charlie is definitely a dog without an owner.
