John Loyes Hackett, 95, passed away May 12, 2026. John was born on Oct. 15, 1930, in Trousdale, OK to William and Ola Hackett (McDonald). He was a heavy equipment operator, and owned Hackett Dozer Service for 65 years.

John is survived by his daughter, Sheila Walker; grandchildren, Felicia Brown and husband Jon, Dusty Walker and wife Megan and Cheyenne Walker; great grandchildren: Derek Brown and wife LaTara, Garrett Brown and wife Erin, Zack and Zoie Coleman-Walker and Lane Walker; great-great grandson, Rhyett Brown. He is also survived by the second love of his life, Juanita Ong; sisters, Ruth Ann Hassen-Autaubo and husband Presley and Mildred Hohmann-Metcalf.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Margie; daughter, Nancy Walker and husband Lloyd; son-in-law, Steve Walker; grandson, John Walker; brothers: Pat, Lloyd, Bill and Tommy; and sisters: Allie, Beulah and Shirley.

Services were held May 15, 2026 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with grandson, Dusty Walker and Brandon Johnson, Mission Road Church of Christ officiating. Burial followed at Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
